Professor Sørensen is currently a Clinical Professor and Chair at Department of Clinical Medicine - Department of Clinical Epidemiology, specialising in internal medicine and hepatology. He is a member of the Member of the Novo Nordisk Prize Committee, and Chairman of the Danish Agency for Registry Research, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. He has a substantial number of publications within the field of clinical epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, and determinants of the prognosis of cardiovascular, infections, gastrointestinal, and cancer diseases.

Professor Pedersen is a current Professor at Department of Clinical Medicine - Department of Clinical Epidemiology, conducting research using clinical quality databases and medical registries. She has special focus on the prognosis of orthopedic surgery patients, in particular hip fracture patients

Prof. Anna Maija Tolppanen

Doctor Anna Maija Tolppanen is currently a tenured Professor at University of Eastern Finland. Her group applies a variety of methods, ranging from traditional statistical methods to machine learning. Her work has provided important insights into drug utilization and associated adverse events in people with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as risk factors of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Prof. Sirpa Hartikainen

Professor Sirpa Hartikainen is the professor of geriatric pharmacotherapy in the School of Pharmacy at University of Eastern Finland. Her research interest is in geriatrics and register-based studies of major neurodegenerative diseases Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson disease. The focus has been in risk factors of these diseases, fall related injuries like fractures, drug utilization and associated adverse events.

Pr Cécile Droz-Perroteau is the Director at Bordeaux PharmacoEpi (BPE), University of Bordeaux. She has supervised the activities of BPE pharmacoepidemiology research platform of CIC 1401 "Pharmaco-epidemiology" and participated in more than 100 projects. This platform aimed at evaluating the behaviours of prescription and use of drugs as well as their consequences in terms of health and costs on a large scale.

Prof Dani Prieto-Alhambra is currently an epidemiologist using routinely collected health data to generate reliable evidence for improved patient care here at the Centre for Statistics in Medicine in NDORMS. He leads Pharmaco- and Device Epidemiology research at NDORMS, and have experience designing, analysing and interpreting electronic medical records from around the world.
