Professor Wong is Co-Director of the Centre for Safe Medication Practice and Research, Department of Pharmacology & Pharmacy, and holder of the Lo Shiu Kwan Kan Po Ling Professorship in Pharmacy at HKU. He is Co-Director of Centre for Medication Optimisation Research and Education (CMORE) at the University College London Hospital and UCL School of Pharmacy. His expertise is in children's health, using big data research to investigate optimum use of medications for children, and formulating and producing new medications for treatment of various conditions such as epilepsy, arthritis and acute pain in young patients.

Doctor C.L. Cheung is a current Research Assistant Professor at Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, the University of Hong Kong. His focus of research lies on Osteoporosis, Cancer, and Precision Medicine, which is an emerging form of disease prediction, diagnosis, and prevention that uses genetics, biomarkers, and other personalised information to deliver the right treatment, to the right person, at the right time. As the underlying cause of disease could be different among patients, the use of Precision Medicine should both improve patient outcomes and deliver benefits to the health service, based on patient's individualised makeup.

Doctor Simon Bell is a Professor and a NHMRC Dementia Leadership Fellow, Centre for Medicine Use and Safety, Monash University. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Geriatric Pharmacotherapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Eastern Finland; an Adjunct Associate Professor, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University and an Adjunct Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, University of South Australia. Dr Bell's research interests primarily relate to medicines use among older people, particularly psychotropic and analgesic medicines.

Doctor Jenni Ilomaki is a NHMRC Early Career Fellow with expertise in clinical pharmacy, epidemiology and public health. She is the Chair of the Pharmacoepidemiology Special Interest Group of the Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists (ASCEPT). Jenni leads a dynamic and expanding research group focused on analyses of administrative claims data. Jenni and her team collaborate with a range of government and non-government organisations in Australia and internationally.

Doctor Kiyoshi Kubota is currently a director of NPO Drug Safety Research Unit, a non-profitable organisation established as a corporate body registered to Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The organisation worked closely with former Department of Pharmacoepidemiology in University of Tokyo, which was permanently closed in 2014. As the former chair of Department of Pharmacoepidemiology, Dr Kiyoshi Kubota expertised in epidemiology and pharmacology and his research focuses on healthcare management and medical sociology.

Dr. Amy Hai Yan Chan

Dr Amy Chan is a senior clinical research fellow at the School of Pharmacy, University of Auckland, New Zealand, and holds an honorary post at the Centre of Behavioural Medicine, University College London.  She is a clinical pharmacist academic and is currently in a joint-appointment between the University and Auckland District Health Board. Amy’s expertise and interests are in the use of data to inform clinical research questions, such as pharmacoepidemiology, behavioural medicine and the use of digital health interventions.  Amy has nearly 15 years’ experience in the public health service, where she led the clinical pharmacy service in mental health and was involved in health delivery research.

Amy is the global lead for workforce transformation with FIP, and the Commonwealth Pharmacists’ Association Professional Development and Research Lead. Amy also provides consultancy to medical research organisations, non-government organisations, and has been involved in developing patient-centric programmes in a variety of healthcare settings.  She has skills in both qualitative and quantitative research approaches and experience in human-centred research.

Doctor Kebede Abera Beyene is currently a Research Fellow in Pharmacoepidemiology and Health Outcomes. He have previously held lecturer and partnership coordinator posts in both academia and non-academia. His research focuses on estimating real-world comparative treatment effectiveness and safety, assessing ethnic disparities in medication use, medication adherence, and medicine sharing behaviours.

Dr Chandran is a Senior Consultant from the Department of Endocrinology at Singapore General Hospital. She currently serves as a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist and Director of the Osteoporosis and Bone Metabolism Unit that she set up at Singapore General Hospital in 2007. She completed her ​Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism from University of California San Diego School of Treatment, USA. Dr Chandran is also the Chairperson of the Singapore Ministry of Health’s Appropriate Care Guidelines for Osteoporosis Working Group, and, was recently elected to the Board of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF). Her research and clinical interests include the Epidemiology and Health Economic Burden of Osteoporosis, Rare Bone Disorders, Renal Bone Disease and Parathyroid Disorders.

Edward is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He has expertise in the use of a variety of healthcare databases across Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe in the conduct of international multi-database pharmacoepidemiologic research. His research interests include safety and comparative effectiveness of psychotropic, rheumatologic and oncologic medications. He has served as an Associate Editor of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety since 2013. He had served as the chair of Asian Pharmacoepidemiology Network (AsPEN) (2016-2018). He is an active member of the Neurological and mental health Global Epidemiology Network (NeuroGEN).
